The debate over who is the greatest strikeout pitcher of all time often comes down to the two men at the top of the list: Nolan Ryan and Randy Johnson. Here’s why my vote goes to Johnson; it has to do with when he began his major league career.Johnson was a late bloomer; he did not record his first strikeout until he was 25 years, 5 days old, three seasons after he was drafted out of USC. Ryan’s first K came whenhe was 19 years, 223 days old, a season after he was drafted out of high school.MORE: Top 10 unbreakable records in baseballJohnson didn’t reach the1,000-strikeout plateau in his career until 44 days before his 30th birthday. Ryan got to 1,000 when he was 26 years, 153 days old. Both men pitched until they were 46. Johnson finished with 4,875 strikeouts, 839 behind Ryan’s 5,714.Their season highs were almost identical.Johnson fanned 372 batters in 2001 (at age 38). He finished 11 shy of Ryan’s record of 383 set in 1973.There David Robertson Jersey was, however, one big difference in those two performances:Johnson’s strikeouts came in 249.2innings while Ryan’s came in 326 innings. That raises the question: What if Johnson had pitched as many innings as Ryan?To give you an idea of what the answer Dellin Betances Jersey would be: The Big Unit fanned 488 batters from July 9, 2000, to Sept. 2, 2001, a span of 325 innings. For his career, Johnson threw 1,250.2fewer innings than Ryan, or roughly the equivalent of five full seasons.PHOTOS: A look at the Big Unit’s legendary careerA few more reasons why it’s the Big Unit over the Ryan Expre s:Johnson had a live arm but also a long, sweeping delivery that he had trouble repeating early in his career. That led to bouts of wildne s (just ask John Kruk). Johnson led the majors in walks for three consecutive seasons, from 1990 through 1992.By 1995, he had ditched his wild reputation. He led the majors that year with a 4.52 strikeout-to-walk ratio. In fact, from 1995 through the end of his career in 2009, Johnson averaged 4.39 strikeouts per walk equal to Curt Schilling’s career rate, which is the highest among pitchers with at least 1,500 innings since 1889, when the rule for a walk was changed to four balls. Ryan’s career-best K-to-BB ratio was 3.14 in 1990. Ryan, of course, holds the major league record with 2,795 walks.Johnson’s newfound ability to strike out batters while also preventing free pa ses ledtoa major league-record36 career games of double-digit strikeout games and no walks. No one else has come close, although Clayton Kershaw, with 21, is fast approaching. Schilling, who ranks second, had nine fewer. Ryan had just eight such games total in his career.Amazingly, Johnson had just one such game when he was Kershaw’s exact Reggie Jackson Jersey age.Lastly, Johnson compiled a career 28.6 strikeout percentage (4,875 Ks in 17,067 batters faced), best all time among pitchers with at least 1,500 innings pitched. Ryan ranks fifth at 25.3 percent behind Kershaw (28.0), Max Scherzer (27.7) and Pedro Martinez (27.7) in addition to Johnson.Had Johnson faced the same number of batters as Ryan did (22,575), he would have finished with 6,448 strikeouts. So, yes, Ryan is the all-time strikeouts leader, but it’s very clear, looking back at all the stats, thatJohnson is the greatest strikeout pitcher of all time.
We recently helped Health to Hope in creating an RV vehicle wrap for their traveling “Health on Wheels” Mobile Unit. Health to Hope strives to promote and provide public health among those in economic crisis. Their belief is that everyone is entitled to healthcare, whether homeless or comes from a low-income background.
One of their mobile units, “Health in Motion” works on reaching out to communities that are unable to make it to their clinics. Their services are available, while payment is the least of their concerns.
The wrap we created includes a landscape that resembles the mountains seen across the Inland Empire. The vehicle also includes contact information where you can reach the organization for more information. For more information on our RV vehicle wraps or for more examples, check out this page!

KTM of Murrieta is at it again with a different color scheme! KTM of Murrieta is part of Dirt Bike Nation, playing as the dealer to sell new and preowned BMW dirt bikes to customers. We have worked together with KTM of Murrieta for quite a while now. We have created a lot of signage for their office, and also wrapped a few of their vehicles. The photo above is a wrap we did for them in 2015, and the graphics and detailing on this one was on point. Stretching an image to fit on the wrap of a car can get difficult; however, this one came out super nice. Many of the wraps we do for businesses also include a brief set of contact information. We love how it was aligned with the lines on the van, keeping the wrap clean and organized!
Enough about the old one! KTM of Murrieta is coming in with a different color scheme or orange, black and white. They incorporated the bright orange color scheme because most of their bikes have orange, so what better way was it to make their van similar to their bikes. Bright colors always look good on sprinter van wraps because it makes them stand out, and that’s the whole point. You want people to notice the rad wrap you paid for, don’t you? They also put the talented CJ Wilson’s name on the wrap, which is super cool.
Many of you guys probably know CJ Wilson as the pitcher for the professional baseball team, Angels. However, baseball was actually his third choice. He wanted to become a fighter pilot, but his father did not approve. He then aimed to be a race car driver, but his parents wouldn’t finance it, so he settled for baseball by starting a little league team. The rest is history! He races here and there, but to avoid injuries he’s not allowed to race.
Just within a simple wrap, there is so much history and meaning about the business. On the outside it looks like a bunch of names or websites, but in reality each print symbolizes the reason or mission for the business or brand. KTM of Murrieta did an excellent job in putting together the different aspects of their brand into one vehicle.
Stagecoach is California’s popular 3- day Country Music Festival. Popular country artists like Eric Church, Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan are headlining for this event as well as many other country artists. Many people attend this festival to hear the great music, to be with good company, and to enjoy the different BBQ’s and foods out there. This large 3-day event even has a saloon and definitely gives off the typical country vibe.
We had the opportunity to work with Stagecoach again this year by upgrading their RV with a cool wrap! The gradient color scheme on this RV wrap is stunning and definitely makes this RV stand out. We wanted to give it a pretty sunset vibe with cotton candy skies. The wheel at the back of the RV bus wrap also gives it a great 3-D touch of detail. Wraps for large events like these are also important to have the main information to get people interested and most importantly, informed. On the right side of the RV, we enlarged the three main headliners, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Eric Church’s, pictures with the dates of the festival. Can’t wait to see how cool this RV would look cruising below the sunset.
Almanac Beer Company is a fairly new beer brewing company founded in 2010 by Jess Friedman and Damian Fagan. They are based in San Francisco, and like most brewing companies, they started off brewing beer in their very own homes. Both Jess and Damian had a passion for brewing beers that were unusual, but unique in taste and unavailable commercially. Almanac Beer Co. creates different beer flavors by selecting locally sourced fruits and mixing them with their brews.
Almanac Beer Company first starts its brewing process with ideas by brainstorming as a group unique and new seasonal flavors. After, they measure out their malts, yeast, hops, and water combinations to get the right flavor. They add the fruits last so the sweetness from the sugars are not too powerful. These different flavors are brewed in smaller batches and outsourced to local restaurants and retailers. They also have barrel aged beers that have a hint of vanilla and oak from the barrel itself. We had the opportunity here at Wrap Vehicles to wrap their box truck. They wanted a rustic beer vibe on their box truck wrap that resembled their company; therefore, we went with a brown color scheme that clearly displayed what they were all about!
Pro Tour Fittings is known for professional performance bike fittings and custom insoles. The founder of Pro Tour Fittings was extremely passionate about cycling. He grew up immersed in the cycling world and was a professional cyclist for 26 years. Retiring from the racing world, he still had an utter passion and love for cycling and still wanted to pursue something in that field. He became a bike fitter, so he can learn more about other cyclist’s goals and habits. Pro Tour Fittings is an awesome bike fitting company because they are Retul Certified. Retul Certified means that they use specific bike fitting technologies to create the right and unique relationship with the biker and their bikes.
Pro Tour Fittings business tactics is similar to ours. We enjoy getting to know our customers/clients and what they do. Just like Pro Tour Fittings and how they strive to find the appropriate fit for a biker, Wrap Vehicles also strives to really get a feel for the company to help them create a wrap that embodies who they are. From the color to the design, we aim to make it the right match.
We had the opportunity to work with Pro Tour Fittings and give them a wrap for their van. We took their green and black color scheme and applied it to their van wrap in a way where it’ll stand out on the road. We also aim to incorporate their main information onto the vehicle wrap in the most visible, but memorable way. This isn’t a cheap van wrap, it’s high quality and service, that’s what we stand behind, just like Pro-Tour Fittings. We hope to work with them again!
Skin care is just as important as taking care of one’s health. Created by Dr. Heinz Maurer, Sebamed helps those that have skin diseases and are sensitive to soap. He created soap free tensidic wash products that turned out to be a huge success, which encouraged him to create a new line for those who have skin problems. These days, our skin is more prone to skin diseases because of the lack in skin care and protection from the sun. People don’t realize how sensitive and easy it is to destroy their epidermis by constantly unprotecting it from the sun.
Sebamed is unique because it follows a pH 5.5 rule. These products match the acidity of the skin’s hydrolipid barrier with the pH5.5, allowing it to naturally recover. The hydrolipid film, also known as the acid mantle, keeps the skin hydrated and protects it from outside environmental irritants. When the skin barrier is destroyed, the skin is more prone to outside and internal conditions such as weather, allergens, stress, and hormones. It also severely dehydrates the skin when this layer is destroyed. Sebamed helps the skin not only stay moisturized, but helps the skin heal itself by protecting it.
We had the opportunity to wrap Sebamed’s Chevrolet and give it some life! This car wrap totally transformed into a vibrant and live vehicle. The bright blue color allows the car to be noticeable a mile away. It definitely will intrigue people to check it out while they are on the road. This wrap is also very informative because it showed an image of their product, and their contact information.
In life, it is okay to experience some things out of the realm. People should be able to live on the edge and with excitement. KTM gives many people opportunities to live on the edge and experience their inner adventurous spirits through cycling. KTM is a motorcycle brand that many racing motorcyclists have. It’s a brand that pursues a “ready to race” mentality and vision.
KTM wants each motorcyclist to experience adventure, purity, performance and extreme through their bikes. Each bike has an adventurous spirit that challenges many to experience different destination and opponents. Every KTM is designed to be in the purest state.
Doing so, it allows every biker to experience an ultimate ride with the bare essentials and no distractions. Performance correlates with victory. Without it, one cannot succeed. Performance plays as the cornerstone of the racing world, especially for KTM. We were stoked to have worked with KTM of Murrieta to complete the sprinter van wrap.
This has been one of our best jobs done so far in our warehouse. The quality of the images printed onto their sprinter van wrap is so clean! The white background contrasted extremely well with the bright red bike, allowing the images to stand out more. Also, the tire marks through the white background gave the vehicle wrap a unique detail. We’re extremely pleased to how this one turned out!
